No suction even on smooth surface and crazy noise .. August 15, 2010 Abhishek Koundal (CA,USA) I recently brought this from home depot and will be returning it tommorow as it dont stick to the wall and motor has loud noise. Looks like i need to hunt for a better one which sticks to the wall :) .
Laser and levels both are misaligned August 3, 2010 Valerie (Boise, ID USA) Got this as a gift for Bday. Not is the laser lens visibly crooked, but the levels are not even level!! What is the point of a laser level where the laser is not straight and the levels are not level???
AWESOME! July 31, 2010 S. Kitta Seriously, I am annoyed at the other reviews saying this thing is noisy and therefore not worth anything. I guess if you're doing your project in an operational library, this level might not be for you. However, if you are doing small projects and you need something QUICK and easy this works great. I just used it to tape my new baby's nursery (painting a horizontal line down the middle of the wall) and it worked flawlessly for what I needed. The price is right also - give this thing a chance.
junk February 3, 2010 S. Carlisle This thing wouldn't stick to a wall if it was coated with fly paper and crazy glue, it's extremely loud, and the laser line is hard to see.
Works Great December 25, 2009 S. Novak (Ft Lauderdale, FL United States) I have never heard supposed handymen complain about a tool making noise. My drill makes noise, my mitersaw makes noise and my hammer makes noise. And now my laser level makes some noise but its job is to stick to a wall with suction (your vacuum makes noise) and it works well. I have used it from pictures to chair rail and the lines are always straight. And its nice because I don't have holes in my drywall. It also sticks well to the concrete walls in my garage for hanging rails. I recommend and the price is great.
For those of you who think a little motor is to loud they do sell ear plugs on this site.
