Our previous weed burner quit working after several years of use, so I searched, and found this. We bought it in May, and it has already failed. The gas doesn't come out like a short blue flame as it should. Instead, it burns through a bottle of gas in about 10 minutes because there's no pressure control. I will never buy from this company again. What a rip-off.

Really nothing particularly wrong with the torch. I just had not realized how dangerous it would be to use in conditions where the weather is hot, dry and windy. Even using to zap the weeds between the sidewalk squares is too risky. The idea of just passing the torch over the weeds to cause the cell walls to heat just so may be environmentally friendly but ridiculous in practice. I may try it after a soaking rain but I really need it in the Summer when it is hot and dry. It is back to the vinegar for me. I may be able to use this to melt metal if I can find a suitable crucible.

I bought this for my wonderful husband as a Father's Day Gift. We live in an area where weeds are popping up all over the place. He would spend so much time spraying and then going out a few days later to pull the weeds. He always came in with sore Knees and a hurt back. One day I saw a neighbor using this so I went on-line and found it on Amazon.com. When I gave it to my Husband he said he liked it but I could tell he was not that into it. He thanked me and went out and used it. Ten minutes later he came back in the house with a big smile and told me what he thought when he first opened it. Then he told me it's "The Best Father's Day Gift Ever." He uses it all the time. We like the fact that we don't have to use poison any longer. What a time and back saver this is. I highly recommend this.

My husband just loves his new mini Weeder. He uses it all over our acerage and yard. The fact it is light weight makes it very portable and easy to use. He has already used several tanks of propane.

I purchased the Red Dragon Mini Weeder Dragon propane torch weeder and it works great on the little weeds in the cracks in the painted driveway. Painted driveway not harmed as I only touch weed with flame. The weeds instantly start to shrivel when hit by the flame. In a day they disappear, unlike chemicals. Also works great on the small clover type weed in my FLA lawn and mulch. Careful not to set mulch on fire though. The big weeds I pull out.
